Attorney General Mike DeWine : Crimes Against Children Initiative

Description

As part of National Child Safety and Protection month, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine unveils his new "Crimes Against Children Initiative", a plan to protect Ohio's children from sex predators. The new action plan includes a new unit at the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) dedicated to tracking, finding, and arresting child pornographers and child predators. It also includes new help for victims, local law enforcement, and local prosecutors.

The initiative includes two attorneys who dedicate their time to prosecuting crimes against children, an internal Rapid Response Team for sex crimes committed against children, and a public awareness campaign.
