State of the State with Tom Hodson

"State of the State" is an exciting new forum discussion program where, for one hour, we bring together some of the smartest and most influential minds in local politics to talk about the number one problem facing our area, the economy. With a live studio audience and open phone lines to the public, "State of the State" allows YOU, the average citizen, to get your voice heard. Get through the political speeches and press releases and pose the real questions that you want answered! Through our four episodes we'll cover the basics of the stimulus package and how it effects education, health care, and job loss. Hosted by Tom Hodson, the Director of Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Guests: Dr. Richard Vedder, Ohio University; Jack Frech, Athens County Job and Family Services; and Fred J. Deel, Director of the Governor's Office of Appalachia (GOA).
