This poetry-reading event takes place at the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery in downtown Columbus in celebration of Arts and Humanities Month. Ohio Arts Council Director Julie Henahan reads the Governor's Proclamation, and Ohio poets Steve Abbott, Nancy Kangas, Wendy McVicker and Rose Smith read their original poetry. Ohio Poetry Out Loud finalists Mallory Cassoy of Bexley High School and Lake Wilburn of Centennial High School perform. Ohio poet Chiquita Mullins Lee emcees the event.
