About one-third of food harvested never nourishes humans and discarded food can be particularly prevalent in urban areas.
Our panel will explore the status of food waste issues nationally and discuss ongoing local efforts to reduce wasted food and redirect discarded food to nourish food insecure households.

Roe (Associate Chair, Van Buren Professor, Undergraduate Studies Leader at the Department of Agricultural, Environment, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University and head of Ohio State Food Waste Collaborative) Kyle O'Keefe (Director Innovation and Programs at SWACO), Amy McCormick (Corporate Affairs Manager at The Kroger Co.), and host Dan Mushalko (President of WCBE 90.5).
