The Woodrow Wilson Ohio Teaching Fellowship seeks to attract talented, committed individuals with backgrounds in the STEMM fields-science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine-into teaching in high-need Ohio secondary schools. Eligible applicants include current undergraduates, recent college graduates, midcareer professionals, and retirees who have majored in, or had careers in, STEM fields.
The Teaching Fellowship is administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation and is funded with the support of the State of Ohio through the Office of the Board of Regents of Higher Education. Additional support comes from the George Gund Foundation, Cleveland Foundation, Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, GAR Foundation, The Battelle Fund at the Columbus Foundation, and Battelle Memorial Institute. Leadership from the Governor's office is also a key part of the program.
Speakers include John Carey, Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents; Dr. Dick Ross, Superintendent of the Ohio Dept. of Education, and Arthur Levine, President of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation.
