The Ohio Board of Regents discusses and votes on a tobacco free resolution for colleges and universities. This resolution encourages colleges and universities to promote healthy lifestyles by banning the use of all tobacco products on their campuses.

Board members include:
Ohio Board of Regents Chair James Tuschman, Regents James F. Patterson, Dr. Walter A. Reiling, Jr., Patricia A. Ackerman, Timothy M. Burke, Lana Z. Moresky, Vinod K. Gupta, Virginia M. Lindseth, and Chancellor Jim Petro

Additional speakers include:
Michael F. Roizen, MD, (Chief Wellness Officer and Chairman of the Wellness Institute, Cleveland Clinic), Dr. Theodore E. Wymyslo (Director, Ohio Board of Health), and Mari-Jean Siehl (Chief, Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program).

The Ohio Board of Regents is the state agency that coordinates higher education in Ohio. The agency is directed by its Chancellor, who is a member of the Governor of Ohio's cabinet. The Chancellor, with the advice of the nine-member Board of Regents, provides policy guidance to the Governor and the Ohio General Assembly, advocates for the University System of Ohio and carries out state higher education policy.
