Playing from the Heart: The Story of Jesse Ponce

The development of Latino music in the United States can be traced in the music and life story of Toledo resident Jesse Ponce, a master of Conjunto, a roots style of Tejano ("Tex-Mex") music. Although Conjunto is a very traditional style of music and not as commercial as other styles of Latino music, Ponce has a special way of making his music reach out to people who have never heard of him or his music. Ponce's passion for his music touches many and his perfectionism enables his audience to feel what he is feeling on stage.
