State lawmakers cruised right past their June 30 deadline to approve a new state operating budget.
Republicans and Democrats are still trying to reach agreement on sticking points. Ahead, a discussion with our statehouse team about what led to the impasse. The United States Supreme Court's just concluded session saw decisions on gerrymandering, and the Census. But the close decisions did not fall as predictably as may have been expected. Plus, it's been nearly 50 years since the moon landing. We'll preview the new PBS documentary, "Chasing the Moon" with Ideastream's Arts & Culture team.
