Governor Ted Strickland

Description
Gov. Ted Strickland announces a joint agreement between Ohio's agricultural leaders and the Humane Society, which will avoid the pursuit of a farm-animal care initiative on the November 2010 ballot. In addition to enhancing livestock & animal-welfare issues, this agreement addresses regulations on dog-breeding kennels, cockfighting and dangerous and exotic animals.

Jack Fisher, Executive Vice President of the Ohio Farm Bureau; and Wayne Pacelle, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Humane Society join the governor for this announcement.
