How to Schedule Your Wedding

 

Step 1 : Availability

To hold your wedding or reception at the Statehouse, contact Kathryn Jordan at 614/752-9777 or kjordan@csrab.state.oh.us for wedding ceremony and reception availability and to answer additional questions.
 

Step 2 : Schedule a Site Visit

Seeing is believing! A Statehouse site visit to walk through the multitude of spaces that will be used for your special day is encouraged. Contact Kathryn Jordan at 614/752-9777 or kjordan@csrab.state.oh.us to visit the Ohio Statehouse.
 

Step 3 : Wedding Application Form & Paperwork

A wedding permit application and appropriate paperwork must be completed in order to reserve your wedding or reception date at the Ohio Statehouse. It is recommended that you submit your wedding permit application as far in advance as possible.

Step 4 : Deposit

A 10% deposit along with your completed wedding permit application and supporting documents will need to be received by CSRAB. Send to:

Checks should be made out to: Treasurer, State of Ohio

All permissible events must be in accordance with CSRAB's General Rules, as set forth by the Ohio Legislature, as well as federal, state and local laws. All CSRAB fees will be billed to the applicant after their event. The full fee will be due prior to the scheduled wedding or reception.
 

Step 5 : Approving Your Wedding

Upon receipt of your completed wedding application materials and deposit, CSRAB will schedule a meeting with you and all the vendors associated with your wedding ceremony and/or reception to ensure that your day is special and worry free.
 

Step 6 : Catering For Your Special Day

Upon receipt of your completed application materials and deposit, you may begin working with the Ohio Statehouse Preferred Caterer, Catering By Design, or one of the three approved caterers on your menu, table sets, décor and alcohol service. Please note that the Preferred Caterer holds the liquor permit and is required to provide alcohol service for all events on Capitol Square .
