Bicycle Parking

Capitol Square has been home to bicycle racks since 2000. The bicycle racks are located on the north and south sides of the Statehouse and are designed to look like hitching posts to blend in with the 1800s architectural style of the building.

As gasoline prices rise, the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board welcomes Capitol Square visitors, residents, staff and neighbors to utilize these racks to lock up bicycles while visiting the Statehouse.

As a reminder, please walk your bicycle on the plazas. Riding bicycles on Statehouse grounds is not permitted for safety reasons.
