Self-Guided and Audio Wand Tours

Visitors may wander on their own anytime during Statehouse hours with a self-guided tour brochure or borrow an audio tour wand with pre-recorded information to follow at your own pace. Self guided tour brochures and audio tour wands are available in the Statehouse Museum Shop in the Map Room. While the use of tour wands is free, we ask that an I.D. be left with the Museum Shop clerk during your tour.

Taking an audio tour through the Ohio Statehouse will allow you to learn all about the magnificent architecture and stories behind so much rich history.

Audio Tour wands allow you to set the pace. You see all that you want to see – in the order you want to see it. And it's really as simple as 1-2-3.

1. Go to the Statehouse Museum Shop in the Map Room and request an audio tour wand. 2. Follow the map and digital audio wand instructions. 3. Press the numbers on the wand corresponding with the various points of interest you encounter.

Enjoy a historic trip back in time. From the Statehouse's unique Greek Revival Architecture to the stories about the people to built the Capitol Building to the remarkable renovation efforts to restore the Statehouse to its original 1861 glory.
