"Success and Pre-Seed Fund Initiative (SPSFI) "
Program Description
The Third Frontier Success and Pre-Seed Funding Initiative (TFSPSFI) is a direct response to the Third Frontier Commissions' recognition of the need to provide continuing support to those Pre-Seed Fund and related entrepreneurial support programs that have demonstrated success in using previously awarded Grant Funds to create measurable economic benefits for the State through the support of Ohio technology-based opportunities and companies in the Imagining, Incubating, and Demonstrating phases of commercialization. This RFP also provides the opportunity to receive grants to support the creation of New Pre-Seed Funds where there is a demonstrable need for investment capital to support a unique or underserved opportunity. Because the State recognizes the need to continue to fund success, to fund those organizations that have demonstrated their ability generate extraordinary results, this RFP also offers support to Existing Pre-Seed Funds and Entrepreneurial Assistance Organizations (EAOs) who can establish that they will be able to apply additional grant funding to extend and build on proven success.
