Staging Success: The Playhouse Square Story

This story of the rebirth of what is now PlayhouseSquare in downtown Cleveland is a rags-to-riches tale as dramatic as any on Broadway. In the late 1960s, the curtain came down - almost forever - on these once great theaters. But, an eclectic group of volunteers sprang into action, tirelessly working to find ways get the theaters performing again. Today, PlayhouseSquare is the country's largest performing arts center outside of New York's Lincoln Center. A WVIZ/PBS production, in collaboration with Think Media Studios.
