All Sides with Ann Fisher

Description
In January of this year, South Sudan voted by more than 98% for independence from North Sudan.

Saturday, July 9, is Independence Day for the new nation, but escalating violence in the disputed border areas between North and South Sudan has displaced thousands of people and raised fears that a civil war could resume.

Later this hour, we'll talk with two young men, who were refugees of Sudan's second civil war and are now American citizens living in Central Ohio.

First we'll talk with Scopas Poggo, an Assistant Professor of African American and African Studies at the OSU Mansfield campus.

Guests:

* Bol Aweng and Jok Dau (former "Lost Boys" of Sudan, now living in Columbus)

* Scopas Poggo (Associate Professor of African American and African Studies, Ohio State University, Mansfield campus)
