Ohio has joined 11 other states in prohibiting so-called "fail first" drug coverage policies for stage four cancer patients.
Also known as step therapy, insurers with "fail first" policies require patients to try cheaper and potentially less effective drugs before companies will cover newer, more expensive treatments.
