According to a report by the Affordable Housing Alliance of Central Ohio, rent in Franklin County is rising twice as fast as income. The report also found that professions with the most annual job openings are not paying enough income for their employees to afford housing. 54,000 of the lowest-income households pay more than half their income for housing, while 18,441 households were evicted in Franklin County in 2015.
