All Sides with Ann Fisher

Description
Critical race theory, the idea that to understand American history you must consider the role of race and racism, has become a hot topic among state lawmakers, school officials, teachers, parents and students across the country.

That's in public and private schools, including Columbus Academy, which recently declined to re-enroll the children of two parents who have launched a campaign against the school for how it teaches about racism and race.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher: how school districts and teachers are dealing with the sudden backlash over critical race theory.

GUESTS:

Alissa Widman Neese, education reporter, The Columbus Dispatch
Jennifer Adair, Columbus City Board of Education President
Vida Robertson, Director, Center for Critical Race Studies at the University of Houston-Downtown
Ashley Varner, Vice President, Communications and Federal Affairs, Freedom Foundation
