All Sides with Ann Fisher

Description
Sports apparel titan Nike announced last week that its new "Just Do It" campaign would feature the former NFL player known for taking a knee during pregame performances of the national anthem to protesting racial injustice. The first ad featuring Colin Kaepernick aired during the NFL season-opener despite a chorus of public criticism, including from President Trump. Today on All Sides, we talk about Nike's decision to take a stand against NFL policy against taking a knee and other forms of corporate activism.

Guests:
Kevin Draper, sports business reporter, The New York Times
Curtis Haugtvedt, associate professor of marketing at Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University
Victoria Jackson, sports historian and lecturer of history in the School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies at Arizona State University
