n our latest installment of the Chase Excellence in Leadership Series, 10TV's Angela Pace will interview Steven A. Davis, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc.

Davis has been CEO at Bob Evans Farms Inc. since 2006. He inherited a company that was, by most analysts opinions, in poor shape. Same store sales had been falling steadily for two years, and many restaurants had been closed. The company saw profits fall eight out of nine quarters prior to the resignation of the companies previous CEO, and net income had fallen 48% from the previous year.

"When I met the people and looked at the historical performance, I realized these are good people, they just needed a rudder, "Davis told Smart Business. "They needed somebody to come in and say, 'Lets see what we can do.'"
