The Ohio Ballot Board prescribes and certifies ballot language for proposed Constitutional amendments, initiatives, and referenda and oversees efforts to inform voters of proposed ballot issues. Chaired by Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and consisting for four appointed members, the Ballot Board will consider the ballot language for the proposed constitutional amendments that will be voted upon during November 3, 2009 in the General Election.
Proposed Issue 1 - Authorizing the state to provide compensation to veterans of the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts
Proposed Issue 2 - To create the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board to establish and implement standards of care for livestock and poultry
Proposed Issue 3 - To allow for a casino in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo
