Description
Dr. Yung-Chen Lu, founder of the Asian Festival, presents "The History of Asians in Central Ohio: A Driving Force for Growth."

The Asian Festival is an annual event which promotes the importance of cultural diversity in building a vibrant, prosperous and healthy community. The festival has grown to more than 100,000 visitors since its inception in 1995.

In addition to Dr. Lu's presentation, an Asian cultural art exhibit was loaned to DAS for display throughout January. The Rhodes Tower lobby showcased four categories - The Entrepreneurs, The Unsung Heroes, The Educated and The Creative Class.

The presentation and exhibit were sponsored by the DAS diversity committee.
