Description
State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) joins a coalition of advocates to announce proposed reforms aimed at combating and preventing fraud committed against Ohio's seniors.

Existing law presents various challenges to adequately reporting and investigating suspected cases of senior fraud. The proposed legislation seeks to address this problem by increasing public awareness and ensuring consistent education among organizations responsible for detecting such crimes. The bill would also strengthen penalties for financially exploiting Ohio's seniors.

Speakers include representatives from Ohio Attorney General's Office, Ohio Department of Aging, Ohio Job and Family Services Directors' Association, Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging, LeadingAge Ohio, Ohio Bankers League, Community Bankers Association of Ohio and Ohio Credit Union League.
