State Reps. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) and Janine Boyd (D-Cleveland) host Ohio Women's Public Policy Network Executive Director Elizabeth Brown and small business owners and advocates at the Statehouse Harding Press Room to introduce legislation to establish the Ohio Medical Leave Insurance Program. The proposed program would help provide economic stability to working families in times of a medical emergency, when taking care of a sick loved one, or welcoming a newborn into the family. Currently, federal law only provides basic protections for working people to take an unpaid leave after the birth of a child.
