Description
State Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati) sent a letter to Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor Randy Gardner expressing her concern with a recent report that there are a series of high quality Ohio colleges significantly under serving students from working class and low-income families.

The new study shows that some of Ohio's most prestigious colleges and universities are falling short when it comes to enrolling students from working-class and low-income families. The new report singles out seven Ohio schools where the share of Pell students is less than 20 percent. Miami University of Ohio, the report says, has the second lowest Pell Grant student enrollment in the country among public colleges.

speakers include:
- Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati), Ranking Democrat, House Higher Education Committee
- James Murphy, Education Reform Now
