The Sound of Ideas

Description
More than 300 charter schools exist in Ohio, funded with public dollars and offering an alternative to public schools. Thirteen years since charter schools emerged here, are kids getting a better education? Are taxpayers getting a good deal? On the next Sound of Ideas, we'll talk about the performance of charter schools and about other education reform measures, including teacher training and evaluation efforts.

Steven Brill, author, Class Warfare

James Carl, associate professor and chair of the Curriculum and Foundations Dept., Cleveland State University

Ida Lieszkovszky, ideastream reporter
