The Sound of Ideas

Description
Talk seems to have taken a nasty turn these days, in political speech, on talk radio, on the Internet -- where anonymity emboldens the angry -- and on cable TV. Lots of talk. Little listening. Why does one person have to be a left-wing pinko and the other a right-wing zealot? Can't we disagree without being disagreeable? On the next sound of ideas, a discussion about civility in our culture.

John Green, Director, Ohio Civility Project & Bliss Institute of Applied Politics, University of Akron

Reverend Dr. Diana Swoope, Senior Pastor, Arlington Church of God

John Kroll, Online Editor, The Plain Dealer

Tim Hagan, Former Cuyahoga County Commissioner

Mayor Deborah Sutherland, Bay Village
