The Sound of Ideas

Description
Electronic cigarettes are growing in popularity. Unfortunately, authorities say, they're getting more popular with kids, too. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll look at concerns about young people vaping, the e-cigarette word for smoking, because nicotine is delivered in a vapor. And we'll look at an Ohio State University study that calls for a crackdown on youth smoking in any form, including an increase of the smoking age to 21.

Guests:

Peter Shields, M.D., Deputy director, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center

Gilbert Ross, M.D. Senior Director of Medicine and Public Health, American Council on Science and Health

Scott Frank, M.D., family physician and director of the Master of Public Health program at CWRU

Micah Berman, JD, co-author of study, Running the Numbers

Glenn Kassel, board of directors member, Smoke Free Alternatives Trade Association
