Description
On Tuesday, Cuyahoga County Executive, Armond Budish, announced a new plan for a public-private partnership that could help spur the area's start up growth. In the proposal, the county will loan more than four million dollars to local start up accelerator, Jumpstart Inc, to fund area entrepreneurs. What does this announcement mean for our business community? What specifically makes Cleveland a good place for a start up? And how do large scale investments in to the startup scene effect the local economy? We'll explore these thoughts with the county executive, business leaders and local entrepreneurs who can give a firsthand view of what exactly startup funding can accomplish.

Guests:

Armond Budish, Cuyahoga County Executive

Ray Leach, CEO, Jumpstart Inc.

Joe Jankowski, Case Western Reserve University's Chief Innovation officer

Gordon Daily, CEO, Boxcast

Kevin Mendelsohn, Venture Partner, Jumpstart
