The Sound of Ideas

Description
State Senator Sandra Williams has reached her verdict: the Grand Jury system, she says, must be abolished because those juries are too secretive and too powerful. Prosecutors say the secrecy is intentional to protect the accused before they're actually charged with a felony. We'll discuss that on The Sound of Ideas and we'll get thoughts on another often-debated aspect of the legal system, the plea bargain. Join host Mike McIntyre Wednesday morning at 9:00.

Guests:

Jonathan Witmer-Rich, law professor, Cleveland State University

Ayesha Bell Hardaway, visiting assistant professor of law, Case Western Reserve University

Larry Zukerman, defense attorney

Robert Williams, former grand jury member

Senator Sandra Williams, D-Cleveland

John Murphy, exec director, Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association
