More than a year overdue, Congress is just about done with the 2014 Farm Bill. It cuts $8 billion from food stamp spending, ends the current highly criticized crop subsidy program, replacing it instead with an "enhanced crop insurance program, and creates a price support program for dairy farmers. Ohio is home to about 75,000 farms. The Farm Bill is a big deal here, so let's talk about it.
