The Sound of Ideas

Description
The legal profession lacks diversity: Only 15 percent of lawyers nationwide are minorities and few of them rise to the top of their law firms. In Cleveland only 4 percent of law firm partners are non-white. I'm Mike McIntyre. On The Sound of Ideas, we talk with the head of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and leaders of several associations representing minority lawyers about a collaboration to improve opportunities for minorities.

Guests:
-Valissa Turner Howard, President, Norman S. Minor Bar Association & Chief of Staff and Chief Diversity Officer, Cuyahoga County Agency of Inspector General

-Ruchi Asher, President, South Asian Bar Association of Ohio & Assistant US Attorney

-Carmen Verhosek, Attorney, Wickens Herzer Panza

-Marlon Primes, President, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association & Assistant U.S. Attorney
