Description
Drivers license suspension are often used as punishment, more than a million times a year in Ohio, when drivers break certain laws. But even after the suspension is served, the penalty of no license continues for those who can't afford steep reinstatement fees. Critics have likened it to a modern day debtor's prison. Ohio begins a six-month forgiveness program this morning that will eliminate or reduce reinstatement fees based on the driver's level of income. It will get drivers back on the road, so they can get to work. Later, a new federal mandate requires hospitals to make pricing more transparent by posting costs online. The Be Well Health team digs into that topic with a panel of experts.

Guests:
Rep. Dave Greenspan, (R), Ohio House District 16, Westlake

Mike Brickner, Ohio State Director, All Voting Is Local

Marlene Harris-Taylor, Ideastream, Be Well Health Reporter

Elisabeth Rosenthal, Editor in Chief, Kaiser Health News

J.B. Silvers, Ph.D., Professor of Health Finance, Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University
