The Sound of Ideas

Description
On The Sound of Ideas, we'll check in on how the "Every Student Succeeds Act" is playing out in Northeast Ohio schools, and hear why local superintendents are calling it, "No Child Left Behind 2.0". Then, 40 percent of all food produced in the US goes uneaten. Congresswoman Marcia Fudge is introducing legislation to make it easier for businesses to donate excess food instead of throwing it away. We'll discuss the issue at large with her and meet those who are trying to combat food waste in the region.

Guests:
-Michelle Faust, StateImpact Ohio Education Reporter
-Rep. Marcia Fudge, Ohio's 11th District
-Kristin Warzocha, President & CEO, Greater Cleveland Food Bank
-Doreen Schreiber, Business Recycling Specialist, Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District
-Daniel Brown, Founder, Rust Belt Riders
-Giovanna Mingrone, Chef and Founder, Stone Soup CLE
