The State of Ohio

Description
The filing deadline for the governor's race is a little over three weeks away. That means things are getting very busy for both the Republicans and Democrats who want that job. Statehouse correspondent Jo Ingles has the latest moves in the contest for governor.

The US Supreme Court heard arguments this week in a case challenging Ohio's controversial method for maintaining its voter rolls, and the major players from the case were there to hear it.

The state budget office's forecasts of how much money would come in each month continue to be very close to reality, as of the totals from the first six months of this fiscal year. And that's a big change from last year, when budget numbers were way off and Gov. John Kasich was talking about a recession. State budget director Tim Keen talks about that.
