All Sides with Ann Fisher - 10:00 AM - Spare the Rod? Parenting and Corporal Punishment

Play

Studies show a majority of Americans think spanking is an appropriate form of discipline. But what's not clear is where discipline ends and child abuse begins. That debate was reinvigorated recently amid news that an NFL running back beat his son with a tree branch. We'll look at the psychology and sociology of corporal punishment, and the complicated art of teaching a child right from wrong.
