All Sides with Ann Fisher - 11:00 AM - The God Particle: Higgs Boson and the Origins of Mass

Play

Two years ago, a scientific discovery made headlines across the world. Scientists believed they had discovered a missing piece in the puzzle of particle physics: the Higgs Boson, or "God particle." Its discovery seems to answer questions about the origins of mass, or how stuff became...stuff. We'll explain the science of the particle and what it means for our understanding of the universe.

Guests:

Joe Incandela, professor of physics at University of California-Santa Barbara
Christopher S. Hill, professor in the department of physics at Ohio State University
