All Sides with Ann Fisher - 4-11-2023 A - Making youth sports more available to low-income families

Play

Poor children face a range of disadvantages, from food insecurity to scant housing options.

Organized sports have long been a bridge for those children, but the costs associated with everything from equipment to travel teams have drawn another line in the sand, reducing participation by low-income students.

We'll learn about the role of school budget cuts and efforts to make the world of youth sports more accessible.
