In his role as President and CEO of Grange Mutual Casualty Group, Phil Urban oversees the Columbus-based $1 billion insurance and financial services provider. Through its network of independent agents, Grange offers auto, home, life, business and farm insurance protection and banking services through Grange Insurance, Trustgard Insurance, Integrity Insurance and The Grange Bank. The company serves policyholders in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin. Prior to moving to Columbus from Denver, Colorado in 1999, Urban was President and CEO of Guaranty National Corporation, a $600 million, "A" rated personal lines carrier.

Urban currently serves on the Property & Casualty Insurers Association of America Board of Governors and the Ohio Insurance Institute Executive Committee. He is active in the Columbus community, is Past Chair of Experience Columbus, serves on the board of the Columbus Partnership and Capitol South, serves as Secretary on the Columbus Zoo Board of Trustees, acts as the County Commissioner's representative to the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation, serving as the organization's Treasurer, and is a member of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business Dean's Advisory Council.
