The State of Ohio has a rich history as a place of innovation. From the first installation of electric traffic signal lights to the invention of fiberglass, the state is responsible for many important "firsts" that have transformed our lives. The Ohio Department of Development is working to capitalize on our history of innovation by reinvesting in the people, places, and businesses with new ideas and technologies. The 21st century economy has placed high demands on businesses and communities alike, creating opportunities for us to become innovation ecosystems. Lisa Patt McDaniel, Director of the Ohio Department of Development, joins CMC to elaborate on this topic.
