Dr. Marshal Rosenberg, founder of Non-Violent Communication

In such tumultuous times, is it feasible to address problems in a non-violent manner? Is the pen mightier than the sword? Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, Founder and Director of Education Services at the Center for Nonviolent Communication, will be addressing such issues in exciting, innovative ways at our CMC forum, "Words to Live By: Reshaping a Violent World."

Dr. Rosenberg has created a process called Nonviolent Communication, also known as "compassionate communication" in an attempt to strengthen our ability to inspire compassion from others and to respond compassionately to others and ourselves. When it comes to real world issues like working with street gangs, dealing with strife in the Middle East, and curbing violence in schools and turmoil in the workplace, how effective is Nonviolent Communication? Has society moved past the point where problems can be addressed without bombs and guns?

Join us on Wednesday, March 8, and experience Dr. Rosenberg's vision for the future; we will learn the premise of Nonviolent Communication and how it applies to real-world settings-it will be a lesson in "the language of the heart."
