There's no doubt about it; heroin addiction has become a national epidemic threatening all ages and classes. Far from being limited to the junkie and the skid row bum, heroin is now cheap, abundant, and increasingly a middle-class phenomenon. And Christian churches have come to realize that they may have a role to play in fighting it.
