Bill Myles was born in an era when segregation was the law in some states and largely accepted in American life. Black Americans could no more play sports in the major leagues than they could imagine becoming president. He went on to serve for an amazing 22 years as a top Assistant Football Coach and Associate Athletic Director at the Ohio State University. He and collaborator Steve Davis have written a book: Myles Traveled: Stories of my American Journey. And we are lucky enough to have both of them join us tonight.
