In the Ohio House, Substitute Senate Bill 207 passed this week, sponsored by Senators Patton and Manning to establish parental rights of a person convicted of or pleading guilty to rape or sexual battery.
Substitute Senate Bill 250 also passed, sponsored by Senators Jones and LaRose. This bill modifies adoption laws.
Also passed was Substitute Senate Bill 316, sponsored by Senator Cafaro. This bill regulates law enforcement records and sexual assault examination kits pertaining to specified homicide and sex offenses
Sponsored by Senator Seitz, Amended Senate Bill 361 also passed this week. This bill establishes mental culpability for criminal offenses.
