NW Ohio Journal - Blanchard River Flooding

WBGU-PBS' NW Ohio Journal continues to look at the impact of flooding along the Blanchard River.

The impact of the August and February floods in Hancock and Putnam counties was devastating. The Northwest Ohio Flood Mitigation Partnership seeks to establish a long-range, flood mitigation plan for the Blanchard River Watershed and is conducting a feasibility study to find permanent solutions to control the overflow.

Moderator Larry Weiss, retired Associate Vice President for University Relations and Governmental Affairs at Bowling Green State University, was joined in the WBGU-PBS studio by Ottawa Community Development Director Jeff Loehrke and Chief Executive Officer of the Northwest Ohio Flood Mitigation Partnership and former mayor of Findlay Tony Iriti.

Each week's program can also be viewed online the day after broadcast.
