NW Ohio Journal - NW Ohio Citizen Deliberations on Healthcare

Citizens from across Northwest Ohio, who participated in a series of public deliberations on the topic of healthcare this fall in Fremont, Lima, Findlay, Defiance and Bowling Green, will be featured on By The People: A Journal Special Report to air on Thursday, January 5 at 9 p.m. and again on Friday, January 6 at 10:30 p.m.

Partnering with the Center for Regional Development at Bowling Green State University, WBGU-PBS was one of 15 public television stations, from across the nation, selected to host events as part of By The People's Deliberation Week 2005 activities, a national undertaking by PBS' MacNeil/Lehrer Productions.

This WBGU-PBS produced program will outline the major, local healthcare issues raised by NW Ohio participants: healthcare access and availability, the increasing number of uninsured Ohioans, the rising cost of healthcare and the need for wellness/prevention initiatives and eldercare.
