Ohio Channel Presents - Finding a Place In the System

In a 100-year-old juvenile justice system originally developed to meet the needs of male offenders, treatment geared towards girls is often scarce and inadequate. FINDING A PLACE IN THE SYSTEM addresses issues surrounding female youth delinquency from an Ohio perspective, while highlighting national statistics and programs working to empower delinquent and at-risk girls. Perspectives and stories are offered from leading researchers and professionals in the field, state leaders, juvenile court judges, and girls who have been incarcerated in detention and correction facilities.
