The House Finance Committee hears testimony on H.B. No. 50 from the bills sponsor Rep. Dorothy Pelanda (R) Marysville. House Bill 50 is a referred to as the "Ward's Bill of Rights". The bill's language states: to extend the age for which a person is eligible for federal foster care and adoption assistance payments under Title IV-E to age twenty-one, to provide a ward's bill of rights; to require that a guardian receive the Ohio Guardianship Guide; to conform to recent amendments to federal Title IV-E program requirements; and to make an appropriation.
