Bicentennial Barn Painter
To celebrate the Miami County's bicentennial, a group of community members employed the skills of a local folk artist to paint quilt squares on 51 local barns. The really interesting part of the story is that the artist is a migrant worker from Mexico who has become an adopted member of the community.

Migrant Workers
Photographer Gary Harwood spent four years documenting the migrant workers who live and work in Hartville, Ohio. Writer David Hassler put words to the project: "Growing Season: The Life of a Migrant Community," published by Kent State University Press. We talk with Harwood and Hassler to gain a better insight into the people who help to bring farm food to our dinner tables.
