The State of Ohio - "Believing in Ohio"

Gov. Ted Strickland delivers his fourth State of the State speech, which he called "Believing in Ohio". He focused on jobs, unveiling a handful of new jobs-creating programs, several focused on environmentally-friendly green jobs. He didn't directly mention his opponent in the fall election, but did make a couple of swipes that seemed directed at Republican challenger John Kasich's plan to eliminate the state income tax.

Lawmakers didn't see copies of the speech before the governor delivered it, but they were ready to react to it - including Sen. Bill Seitz (R-Cincinnati), House Minority Leader Bill Batchelder (R-Medina), Senate Minority Leader Capri Cafaro (D-Hubbard),

House Majority Floor Leader Tracy Heard (D-Columbus), Sen. Tim Grendell (R- Chesterland), Rep. Jay Hottinger (R-Newark), Sen. Ray Miller (D-Columbus). And though it wasn't a political speech, Kasich also
posted a reaction on YouTube.

And the reporters of the Statehouse News Bureau, Jo Ingles and Bill Cohen, join Karen Kasler to talk about the speech and other news around Capitol Square this week.
